Any changes needed for Snort 2.8.1?

Now that 2.8.1 is the current version, will IDSPM work with it using the 2.8 configuration?

BTW, for those of you running older versions, v2.4 is end-of-life as of March 1st and v2.6 will be end-of-life around the beginning of June 2008 per http://www.snort.org/pub-bin/vrtnews.cgi#28

I haven't looked into it much, but historically speaking there has never been a problem with new versions that are minor releases.

It does seem to be working fine. The only issue I'm having is that I'm not sure unified logging is working in 2.8.1. It creates a zero byte snort.log.nnn file when Snort starts up and that crashes Barnyard. The unified snort.
