Cannot authenticate
Just installed the latest version.  When setting up a sensor, I cannot authenticate to the sensor when I click the Test Connectivity icon.  I get the following error:

Cannot Authenticate  via password.  Allowed authentication methods: publickey, keyboard-interactive
I am running IDSPM on a Windows XP workstation and snort on a FreeBSD 6 box.  I can log in with a password using putty, winscp etc.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Cesar Diaz

Re: Cannot authenticate

I would suggust using public key authentication. To use it, checkout the docs.. it will walk you through setting it up.

Cheers,

Jeff

Re: Cannot authenticate
Thanksfor the suggestion.

When I try to set this up, I see the space to enter the Private Key file, but no Browse button. I tried entering the path manualy, c:\idsman.key, but still got an error saying it could not read the RSA private key.

Getting closer.....

Please put the private key in the app install directory and just put only the private key file name in this box, not the full path. I know this isn't very clear. it will be cleaned up in a future release.

Cheers,
Jeff
