SearchForum Home   Forum  IDS Policy Mana...  IDS Policy Mana...  Problem updating policy   Previous   Next    5/15/2007 9:15 PM    cdiaz 3 posts Problem updating policy  When I try to upload policy changes to my sensor, the dialog box shwos "Building Policy from Database".  After a few seconds the status switches to "Uplaoding File: bad-traffic.rules" and the Stop buttuon swithces back to Start . Let this sit for a long time, nothing seems to happen.  On my sensor's syslog I can see the IDSPM box login in with sftp.  When I use Copy as the choice, the progressbar finishes, but I dont see anything on my sensor. Is there a log for IDSPM? Any ideas how to copy the files to the sensor?  5/15/2007 10:25 PM    Jeff Dell 233 posts www.activeworx.com Re: Problem updating policy  If you are using linux, Copy probably won't be a good option unless you are running samba. sFTP would be your best bet. What happens when you try to test connectivity, does it work fine?
