Sensor List on Left Hand Side

The screenshots of IDSPM that are on the Activeworx.org website show the left-hand sensor list in tree format.  My installation (stand alone version 2.1.0.15) doesn't display my sensors that way.  I have played around with the Locations and Groups in the Options->Settings menu, but that doesn't seem to effect it.  Do I have a buggy installation?  Should my sensors be shown in tree form on the left-hand side?

Thank you,

Craig

Re: Sensor List on Left Hand Side
Locations and groups are not part of the tree. If you look at this screenshot "Snort Policies" is at the root and then the different policies off that. If this not how yours is displayed, please send a screenshot to idspm@activeworx.org or post it here and I will be happy to look at it.

Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Sensor List on Left Hand Side

At the bottom of the screenshot you are referring to:

+ Snort Sensors

        |

        + test

What is that "test" node under the "Snort Sensors" node?

I have 4 sensors added to IDSPM and all I see is:

+ Snort Policies

+ Snort Sensors

Except "Snort Sensors" is not an expandable node.  When I click on "Snort Sensors" in the left hand side, I see my sensor list on the right hand side.  Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Craig

Re: Sensor List on Left Hand Side
I see what you are talking about now. I was getting confused with sensors and policies. That screenshot must be old as there is no treeview for sensors currently.

If you do want to use location for sensors, it is a column in the upload sensors form. example: Say you want to upload policies to all your sensors in Miami. You can click on upload server policies and click on all the sensors that have the location of Miami.

I am however open for suggestions.. would you like to have a treeview here? maybe by location or group? one thing about IDSPM is it is driven by it's users. If you want something in the product that you don't see that will help out others, please let us know and we will do our best to work it into the product.

Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Sensor List on Left Hand Side

I would love to see the sensors in tree view.  I will eventually have over 30 sensors in IDSPM....it will be much faster to find a sensor like that (I think).

Thanks,

Craig

Re: Sensor List on Left Hand Side

How does this look? I just finished it and you should see this in the next build.

Cheers,

Jeff
