ASC version 2.1 bugs?

The new version installed fine and seems to have imported the existing sensors and policies into ASC fine as well.

When I look at a sensor, there is an ID field I don't remember seeing before. It's set to "unknown:eth0" and is supposed to be how the sensor is named in the dtatabase according to the tooltip. If I change it to the sensor_name value and OK it, it doesn't stick. When I look at the sensor again, it goes hack to "unknown:eth0".

The password for uploads seems to have been corrupted. It's a very long string when you look at it and the initial upload failed until I reset it.

If you change the policy assigned to a sensor, it still shows as Current even if the policy now assigned is different from the one that is actually installed.

Please make sure you are using ASC v4.0.1.21 or newer. If you are not, you can download it from the activeworx support center. If this doesn't solve the problem, please let us know.

This might have happened when importing the sensor. All password are encryped and that encryption has changed when you switched from IDSPM to IDSPM for ASC. If you reset the password all should work fine. We will look into this.

IDSPM currently only changes the sensor policy status when you change policy settings, not sensor settings. I will add this to our to-do list as I could see when a couple of different sensor changes could effect the policy.

Thanks for the feedback!

Re: ASC version 2.1 bugs?

Yes, I have been on build 21 of ASC since Monday. The password thingy isn't a big deal. I just didn't know if it was supposed to work this way. Apparently so.
