Unable to Add Output Modules

I'm noticing a problem with our IDS Policy Manager installation. When we attempt to add an output module to the policy, we define all the parameters for the output module, specifically PostgreSQL, but when I click OK to submit the change, the changes are not saved. I still have no defined output modules in the list. I've attempted to add a syslog definition as well.

Any word on whether this is a known issue, or did I find something new? I'm able to do much of the configuration already, such as defining classifications, config options, and variables. Rules are downloaded from the web and uploaded to the sensors successfully as well.

im having the same problem it wont save output/preproccessors etc. its saves variables and rules though??

It looks like this is happening when there are no other pre-processors or output modules. This can currently be resolved by initalizing the policy when creating it. The best way to initalize the policy is from the default Snort 2.4 or Snort 2.6 location. Alternatively you can initalize the policy from an existing policy if you copy it to a local directory. When you do this make sure you copy all files to a local directory, not just the rules files.

If you don't want to initalize the policy and want to start the policy from scratch, there is a beta build in the download section for registered users that will resolve this issue.
