SNORTSAM / FWSAM Support

Add an output module type for:

output alert_fwsam: {IP of SNORTSAM}:{port}/{password}

Should be simple enough.

SnortSam has been added to IDSPM v2.2 RC1 which was just released. Please let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Hi Jeff,

I work with Cjennings and we did the upgrade to 2.2 RC1 we saw it has the output module feature for snortsam but whenever we try to push the policies to the snort agent we get the following message:

Upload Log
----------

Error Uploading to Sensor : Input string was not in a correct format.

Even deleting the output option for snortsam will give the same problem.

Under certain conditions there was an issue in the upload process in IDSPM v2.2.0.19. I have fixed this and v2.2.0.19b is now available. You can get this from the download section. sorry for the troubles...

I've the same problem with IDSPM v2.2.0.20.

The 19b version is always downloadable ??

I think the problem you are having is unrelated to the snortsam problem. but gives the same error. I am looking into this now.
