Hi,
Just wondering when a version of IDSPM will be released that works with the latest ASC 5.0?
Thanks,
Craig
We are working on it now... We have taken a lot of the comments over the last year and a half since v2.0 was released and redesigned a lot of the schema to improve performance problems when using many different policies, as well as added a lot more usability features. We hope to have IDSPM v3.0 beta available in the next 2 weeks.
Cheers,
Jeff
Great!
Is there any way I can access the data that is in my ASC IDSPM tables using the Stand Alone IDSPM (Just until the new version comes out)?
no, stand alone uses Firebird and ASC version uses MySQL/MSSQL. The reason why MySQL/MSSQL isn't supported in the stand alone is because it is not free to closed source apps. This won't be the case in v3 as we have licensed a new database that we can use for both products as well as 32 and 64bit.
Fair enough. Thanks for the explanation.
Any Updates for those of us waiting with 'panted breath', cramped fingers, and totally mixed up rulesets ? <G>
Keep going, Jeff! Don't stop now! <G>

Soon... I wish I could be more specific. Things keep getting between me and IDSPM v3.0. It is very close to beta status though. The main feature left to add is migrate existing policies from v2 to v3 format. The new format is much more streamlined and much faster all around.
any news regarding a (beta) release of v3? eagerly awaiting to install asc5 and can't proceed until the idspm plugin is available. It's been a couple long months since the first announcement in July...
Seems like IDSPM v3 kept getting pushed off... but I am happy to say we are finishing up IDSPM v3 beta now and I am shooting for a beta to be out within a week or so. The stand alone version will be out first, then shortly after we will have a version that works with Activeworx available. check back for more details....
