I tried to install idspm v2.2.0.20 with snort 2.8 under windows xp. Really i following the steps in documentation ,setting upload directery to(C:\Snort\etc) This is typically the location of the snort.conf file.
When i want to set authentication really i tried to use both mode . when i used password i got error message( server rejected username/password.Allow authentication method : publickey , password)
And if used publickey after entered private key file and -pass and press putty key generator and press generate then from conversion menu selected export openssh key and copied the text and go to step 3 which contain:
Open the authorized_keys file for the user that will be logging in. (Default file location is .ssh/ or .ssh2/ from the user's root directory)
here , I dont know where i can find this file .
Can you help me to solve this problem to complete my project.
