We are happy to announce the release of IDS Policy Manager v2.1 beta 1. We have added some features that many of our users have requested to help with managing your snort policies.

Remove old rules will remove all old rules that have been removed from the rules location you are updating from. Example: if you are updating from bleeding threats and there are 10 rules that have been removed from the bleeding threats rule set, you will be prompted that 10 rules have been removed to also remove these rules from the policy. This is an optional feature and will have to be enabled in the settings form.

Fast policy upload is another new feature. This feature will generate and upload all new config files and only rules files that have had new rules updated. This will speed up the policy upload a lot over a full policy upload.
